The Nigerian superstar recently extended his contract but secured a release clause and is already eyeing a move to the English capital.

Despite having just signed a new contract, Victor Osimhen's agent is already working to secure his client's dream move to England.

The Nigerian sensation was set to enter the final year of his deal but decided to extend his contract by an additional 12 months, taking its expiration date from 2025 to 2026. Furthermore, the 24-year-old secured a release clause believed to be in the region of $143M.

All of this points to one thing: the Nigerian goalscoring machine plans on leaving the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as early as this summer but desires an amicable exit.

In fact, according to recent reports, the player's agent has already begun searching for his next employer. According to Il Mattino (via CalcioNapoli24), Osimhen's representative is already planning for a Premier League switch, with one team currently leading the race.

That team is Chelsea, the London giants who are struggling to score goals. The Blues recently lost 2-1 away to Wolves as their profligacy was once again displayed for all to witness.

Christopher Nkunku made his professional debut for the club in that loss, but Pochettino is still in desperate need of a reliable striker. Ivan Toney has also been linked, but Osimhen appears to be their No. 1 target.

However, the Blues are not the only Premier League club pursuing the former Lille ace. Arsenal has also been touted with interest, and while Chelsea is languishing in 10th, the Gunners are top of the table and all but guaranteed UEFA Champions League football next season.

Napoli cannot stand in Osimhen's way if the release clause is triggered, and the reigning Serie A champions will do business with whoever coughs up the required amount. It remains unclear which club Osimhen would opt for if it came down to Chelsea or Arsenal.
