The Bianconeri and the Giallorossi will both be hoping to end 2023 on a high note as they battle for all three points on Saturday, December 30th.

Familiar opponents Juventus and Roma are set to do battle on Saturday as both teams aim to end 2023 on a good note. At the moment, Juventus sit in a very solid second spot on 40 points, with three wins from their last five matches. Naturally, Massimiliano Allegri's men will aim to remain within touching distance of current league leaders Inter, who presently have a four point advantage and could extend that to seven if they, as expected, beat struggling Genoa on Friday.

Juventus have lost just once so far in Serie A this season, which was back in September when they slipped up against a Sassuolo team who have been causing problems for Italy's biggest sides since bursting onto the Serie A scene a decade ago. Since then, Massimiliano Allegri's side have been unbeaten, albeit their football hasn't exactly set the pitch alight - but it has been enough to help them steadily climb the table and put themselves in good stead to challenge for the Scudetto this season.

Meanwhile, Roma, who sit in sixth and are 12 points behind their upcoming hosts, will have quite a bit of ground to make up as they chase a top four spot. The Giallorossi come into this contest having battled to a 2-0 win over a nine-man Napoli, which was the kind of result they needed after a shock 2-0 reversal to a Bologna side that have been punching well above their weight this season.

However, although they did beat Juventus in their last encounter, the Lupi have struggled at Juve's home ground, where they have lost ten of their last 12 trips. In addition, Roma's performance in away games - which has seen them lose four of their last eight in Serie A - will be a major source of concern for Jose Mourinho as he hopes to inspire his team to what would be their first win at Juventus Stadium in over three years.
