The French striker sparked rumors about a possible exit from the black and yellow side following their defeat to Al Nassr in the Saudi classic.

There were some worrying reports about Karim Benzema following Al Ittihad's defeat against Al Nassr, but the player and his inner circle have finally stepped up to clarify all issues regarding his absence from his team's training sessions.

Benzema reportedly went missing after Al Nassr claimed a 5-2 win over Al Ittihad in the Saudi Arabian classic, where the Frenchman had a woeful performance and endured massive criticism by fans and experts.

In fact, the player chose to shut down his Instagram account following all the messages against him after that woeful run. Almost immediately, rumors about his exit from Al Ittihad started to go around on social media, but a member of Al Ittihad's staff shared details of where the player went after that loss.

"Benzema flied to Madrid to take care of personal issues. He asked the club for a three-day leave and the club granted it," the anonymous exec stated.

Asked about Benzema's intentions to stay put or leave Al Ittihad, the exec tried to snub all claims about a possible exit.

"Karim is a true professional, he is fully committed to the team," the exec added,

The 36-year-old player is under contract with Al Ittihad until 2026. While he has shown decent form with his new club, fans and experts expected more from him after some impressive seasons with Real Madrid, but some believe he will not last long in Saudi Arabia following this attempt to leave the club.
