Fans will be treated to another installment of El Clasico as Real Madrid and Barcelona do battle in the Supercopa de España final on January 14th.

Fans hoping to see another El Clasico in this season's Supercopa de España have gotten their wishes granted, as on Sunday, January 14th, perennial rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona will square off in the final. This upcoming game will be a repeat of last year's Supercopa de España final, which took place nearly exactly a year ago on January 13th. The Blaugrana won that match, with goals from youngsters Gavi and Pedri as well as veteran striker Robert Lewandowski enough to make Karim Benzema's late goal just a mere consolation for Los Blancos.

Real Madrid come into this game having successfully seen off cross town rivals Atletico Madrid in a thrilling clash that saw a whopping eight goals scored. The match finished 3-3 in regular time, only for Los Blancos to score two goals in extra time to ensure that they once again have a chance to fight for the first trophy of the 2023/24 season.

Revenge definitely will be on many of these players' minds after losing this tie 3-1 last year, and having already beaten Barcelona in an earlier Clasico meeting thanks to a brilliant showing from new signing Jude Bellingham, Carlo Ancelotti surely will be looking forward to another success in Sunday's highly-anticipated match.

Meanwhile, Barcelona eased to a 2-0 win over minnows Osasuna, who were hoping to make it to what would have been their first ever Supercopa de España. Unlike Real Madrid, who have been in imperious form and have not lost a single match across all competitions since September, Barcelona have been less than consistent.

Their form heading into the Christmas break, which included losses to Girona and Belgian outfit Royal Antwerp, and dropping two points in a 1-1 draw with Valencia, really has not helped the team's confidence. They also saw their Copa del Rey journey end in nearly embarrassing fashion against lower tier side Barbastro before being able to hang on to secure a 3-2 victory.

As such, it will be very interesting to see who triumphs in what should be a highly entertaining Supercopa de España final for both fans and neutrals alike. The two clubs have won this trophy more times than any other team, with 12 for Real Madrid and 14 for Barcelona. For the Blaugrana, defeating Los Blancos would definitely give them the confidence boost they desperately need after a rocky 2023, while for Real Madrid, securing a win on Sunday will be a fine feather in their caps after an having excellent first half to the 2023/24 season.
