The Nigerian star could be heading to the USA in what would surely excite NWSL fans.

Although things appear to be going smoothly for Barcelona as the Blaugrana seek to win multiple titles this season, there have been some rumblings that not all is well for all the team's key players.

According to reports, Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala, who has received plenty of deserved plaudits for her excellent showings since signing with Barcelona in 2019, is apparently quite "displeased" with her lack of consistent gametime this season. The 29-year-old has a contract running through June of this year, and so far has featured only sparingly in the starting XI. Despite this, she has continuted to remain a reliable and clinical presence in front of goal for Jonatan Giráldez's squad.

However, with Giráldez set to leave at the season to take on a new challenge as coach of NWSL side Washington Spirit, Oshoala likewise may be angeling for a change as well. Spanish reports claim that Barcelona are willing to listen to offers, with one NWSL club apparently offering over $160,000 to sign the Nigerian ace.

It remains to be seen what Oshoala's next move will be, but with her contract set to expire this June, it arguably is highly unlikely that Barcelona will be keen on letting one of their best players leave for absolutely nothing - so they just may opt to make a quick decision that would benefit all parties involved.
