The Reds have traditionally seen results go their way when playing league games on Wednesdays, and will naturally hope to keep up that trend when they face Luton Town on February 21st.

Currently on top of the Premier League table, Liverpool will naturally be looking to extend their lead as they welcome relegation-threatened Luton Town on Wednesday. The Reds have a narrow one point advantage over reigning title holders Manchester City, while third-placed Arsenal are still doing everything they can to remain in the title race as well.

Jurgen Klopp's side have been unstoppable on home turf this season, with just one loss in their last 54 league matches played at Anfield. In addition, playing on Wednesdays appears to agree with the Reds, as they not only have lost just two of their last 50 league games played midweek but also are currently on an 11 match winning streak regarding games being played on this day.

The league leaders will be taking on a side who have not won in any of their last 14 trips to Anfield (D6 L8). Luton Town, for their part, currently sit in 18th place, and although the visiting side are unbeaten in their last three Premier League away matches and managed to hold Liverpool to a 1-1 draw earlier this season, the fact remains that Rob Edwards's squad will likely be facing a tough uphill battle in this upcoming fixture. Luton are winless in their last three matches, including back to back defeats to Sheffield United (3-1) and more recently, Manchester United (2-1).
