This week will feature matches from the CONCACAF W Gold Cup, the UEFA Women's Nations League and more.

There is no club football taking place this week, but there are still plenty of matches happening as there are several international tournaments all happening over the next few days.

Here is all you need to know ahead of another week of women's football.

What to watch in women's football: February 23 to February 25

CONCACAF W Gold Cup

The inaugural edition of the CONCACAF W Gold Cup is now in full swing, and the USWNT, as the tournament's hosts, are viewed as the heavy favorites to lift the title. There is quite a lot of pressure on Team USA after their poor showing at last year's World Cup, but so far, the Stars and Stripes have looked quite comfortable as they cruised to a 5-0 win over the Dominican Republic in their tournament opener.

Elsewhere, Canada crushed El Salvador 6-0, while Brazil, who also underwhelmed at last year's World Cup, struggled to secure three points against a very stubborn Puerto Rico side. Friday's games feature a double header, starting with the Dominican Republic hoping for some sort of redemption as they face Mexico, while the USWNT will look to secure a spot in the knockout rounds when they take on Argentina.

Saturday's highlight match involves an all-CONMEBOL affair with Colombia locking horns with Brazil, while Canada will also look to secure a knockout rounds spot when they battle Paraguay on Sunday.

UEFA Women's Nations League

Over in Europe, the UEFA Women's Nations League is also underway. Arguably, the biggest games on Friday include Spain, who won the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup squaring off against the Netherlands, who were runners up in the 2019 edition of that competition, as well as France vs. Germany. For fans based in the USA, CBS's networks will be carrying both games, with the Spain-Netherlands tie live-streamed via Paramount+ while the France-Germany clash is available on CBS.

Women's Friendlies

Elsewhere, there are also several friendlies taking place. Friday's key matches include World Cup runners-up and EURO 2022 champions England facing Austria, as well as what could be an intriguing match-up starring Jamaica, who impressed at last year's World Cup, testing their mettle against Chile.

What to watch in women's football: February 26 to February 29

CONCACAF W Gold Cup

More big games from the CONCACAF W Gold Cup are on the horizon this week. Although the rivalry between the USMNT and Mexico has garnered more attention due to the history between the two sides, a new one could be forming as the USWNT will face Mexico on matchday three of the group stages. Meanwhile, Argentina and the Dominican Republic will be looking to battle for Group A's two representatives in the knockout rounds in Monday's other match.

The rest of the group stage matches of the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday, with double headers on both days.

Women's Friendlies

More friendlies are coming up this week, with England's upcoming tie with Italy one to definitely keep one's eyes on. If you're based in the USA, you can follow that match via CBS.

UEFA Women's Nations League

The UEFA Women's Nations League continues this week as well, with key games including the third-placed game and the final, which will be taking place on February 28th.
