After a comfortable win from the first leg, Manchester City will be looking to conclude proceedings on a high note as they welcome Copenhagen for their second round of 16 UEFA Champions League clash.

Fresh off their come from behind 3-1 win against Manchester United in last weekend's derby, Manchester City will turn their attention back to European affairs as they prepare to host Copenhagen for the second leg of their round of 16 Champions League tie. Pep Guardiola's men are fully in control of this tie following a comfortable 3-1 victory against their upcoming opponents thanks to goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, and Erling Haaland, and will be looking to continue their march towards this season's final with another assured performance at the Etihad on Wednesday.

The last time Manchester City lost a game in any competition was back on December 6th, when they were beaten 1-0 by Aston Villa. Since then, the Cityzens, who are aiming to defend their titles on multiple fronts, have been on a 19 match unbeaten streak across all competitions. Things really appear to be clicking at the moment for the English giants, who have seen key players like Haaland and De Bruyne return from injury layoffs in recent weeks and have hit the ground running without much of a hitch.

With 15 wins from their last 16 games across all competitions, it is safe to say that Manchester City are expected to win this title without much fuss - although stranger things have certainly happened in football.

Meanwhile, Copenhagen, who sit in third place in the Danish Superliga, come into this match having lost 2-0 to Midtjylland in their most recent game. The Scandinavian side did impress during the Champions League group stages by recovering from back to back losses on matchday one and two to pick up eight points from their remaining four matches.

Yet, they will be facing a massive uphill battle, to say the least. Copenhagen have never won on the road against an English side in seven prior attempts and will be taking on a team whose last loss to a Danish side on home soil was back in August 2008, when Midtjylland snatched a narrow 1-0 win.

Copenhagen: Lukas Lerager, Theo Sander, Viktor Claesson, and Davit Khocholava are all definitely out, while Emil Hojlund is a doubt for this game.
