Miami Beach, Florida (February 28, 2013) – Fasten your belts and enjoy the 2013 Major League Soccer ride on NBC and NBC Sports Network. Watch a total of 41 regular-season matches – three on NBC and 38 on NBC Sports Network. All fixtures – between Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, October 27 – feature in the channels’ schedule database available on LiveSoccerTV.com (@LiveSoccerTV). This 41-match ride kicks off in style with D.C. United vs Houston Dynamo.

The BBVA Compass Stadium will be set ablaze on Saturday night as Houston Dynamo host D.C. United in a repeat of the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship. NBC will ring every minute of this new MLS clash live from 20:00 EST.

Watch D.C. skipper Dwayne De Rosario make his anticipated return to Houston since missing out on last year’s Conference Final. In a message to soccer fans in the United States, NBC Sports Group broadcast team member Kyle Martino declared:

“What better way to kick off another MLS season than with two dynasties like D.C. and Houston. This will be fun.”

Play-by-play commentator Arlo White felicitated NBC’s decision to kick off the MLS 2013 season with D.C. United vs Houston Dynamo. He explained the giant network’s pick, stating:

“We kick off 2013 on NBC Sports Network with the same exciting match-up that ended our 2012 coverage in the Eastern Conference Final.

“In November, Houston's quality and experience was too much in for an exciting but tiring D.C. United. Ben Olsen's team is brimming with youthful attacking talent like Chris Pontius and Nick DeLeon, but can also call upon the experience and quality of Dwayne De Rosario and new signing Carlos Ruiz.

“Will Bruin has taken over the goal scoring mantle from Houston club legend Brian Ching, and in Brad Davis, Boniek Garcia and Ricardo Clark they have a hard working and very creative midfield.”
