The Chelsea boss has reacted to news of claiming that he could be on the verge of joining his side's Premier League rivals.

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has finally broken his silence amid rumors of a prospective move to Manchester United. The 48-year-old German coach has dismissed the claims and has pledged his foreseeable future to the London club in the wake of their impending sale.

On Thursday, Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg revealed that Manchester United have made an enquiry for Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel as the club's off-field issues dragged on. With the Red Devils looking to appoint a permanent manager to replace their interim coach Ralf Rangnick, the former Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund boss had emerged as a potential candidate. Ajax's Erik ten Hag, Mauricio Pochettino and Luis Enrique are the others believed to be on the shortlist as well.

United's surprise interest was reportedly necessitated by the cloud of uncertainty at Chelsea, with the club facing the consequences of the sanctions imposed by the UK government on its owner. However, the speculations have now been put to bed by Thomas Tuchel with the German coach stating that he is only focused on his role at the London club.

"Actually no reaction at all [to the rumours]," Tuchel said in a press conference ahead of Chelsea's FA Cup quarter-final meeting with Middlesbrough.

"Do you feel me less committed to the club or less involved in the club? Absolutely not.

"I have said many times that I love to be here and this club has everything it needs to make me happy. There is no need. We have plenty of reasons to stay at the moment.

"I do my best and I've felt the support here in the club since day one. That makes me feel safe and then I do my best to play my role and push things forward."

On Wednesday, Thomas Tuchel guided Chelsea to book a place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League with 4-1 aggregate win over Lille on Wednesday. The defending champions were paired with Real Madrid for their last eight tie as they look to win the title for the second successive season.
