The Portuguese superstar cut a very frustrated figure as his side suffered a shock 1-0 loss to Everton, and now apparently the police have been called in to investigate an incident.

It was a very frustrating afternoon for Manchester United and their supporters, as the Red Devils were on the wrong end of a shock 1-0 score-line against relegation-threatened Everton.

And one player in particular was especially frustrated as he was powereless to inspire his side to a much needed win: Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old was unable to impact the game in the way he's accustomed to, and after the final whistle blew, his frustrations came boiling over in a rather unpleasant way.

According to reports, the Portuguese superstar was involved in an "altercation" with a young Everton fan, during which the kid's phone was seemingly smacked out of his hand as the player left the pitch.

Although Cristiano has now apologized for his actions, labeling it as an "outburst", there are other reports indicating that his apology may not be enough.

Indeed, the Merseyside Police have confirmed that they have opened an investigation into the matter to see if any further course of action will be necessary, using both CCTV and interviews with witnesses.
