The Bayern Munich striker has reportedly asked for some conditions to be met ahead of his purported move this summer.

Barcelona are reportedly closing in on the signing of Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski with the striker making a fresh demand to the La Liga club. A move to the Catalan club is believed to be on the horizon and the 33-year-old attacker is understood to have told his representatives to ask for a three-year deal.

Lewandowski's current contract at Bayern Munich expires in the summer of 2024 and the Polish striker is said to be keen on a move away. Reports from Germany have indicated that Bayern Munich are still interested in renewing the contract of their star forward although no talks have been in regard to that in recent times. Back in March, the former Borussia Dortmund striker failed to commit this future to the club by stating in an interview with Sky in German that he was "open to everything".

With the future of the Bayern striker in doubt, Barcelona are now actively pursuing his recruitment and could secure his service this summer. On Monday, Cataluyna-based newspaper SPORT revealed that the Xavi has already spoken to him and has explained the sporting project to him. The player has also gotten a good understanding of the club after speaking with several players. Although nothing has been agreed yet, he is expected to cost Barca a fee in the region of 25-30 million euros.

This season, the Polish striker has 46 goals in 40 games across all competitions, making him the leading scorer in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League. In his eight seasons with Bayern, Lewandowski has 340 goals in 369 games, second only to Gerd Muller on the club's all-time scoring chart.
