The players of the two sides went at it on their way to the dressing room after Wednesday night's Champions League quarter-final encounter.

The Champions League quarter-final clash between Atletico Madrid and Man City was marred by a brawl at full-time which continued right into the tunnel, a new footage has confirmed. The video that surfaced on the internet after the 0-0 draw at Wanda Metropolitano depicted several players of both sides being separated as they headed for their respective dressing rooms.

The end to affairs at Atletico's home grounds was not a pretty one as tempers failed on several occasions in the former's quest for an equalizer in Wednesday's clash. Essentially, the two clubs exchanged tatics in the second half of the second leg tie, with Man City adopting a more defensive appraoch and Los Rojiblancos pinning the visitors in their own half after being on the backfoot for over 135 minutes.

It was a frustrating experience for Diego Simeone's side and eventually, Felipe's challenge on Phil Foden became the catalyst for the clashes from the 91st minutes onwards. The game was played past the 100th minute mark but a series of temporary hold-ups and more altercations did not allow for a fluid end to the encounter.

At full-time, scores of players from the bench of the two side got involved and the commotion continued right into the tunnel. It is alleged that Stefan Savic and Jack Grealish got physical and had to be first separated before Vrsaljko also featured in a heated exchange with a Man City staff and Kyle Walker. Reports suggest that eight police officers sprinted down the tunnel at the end to control the situation. Watch the video below:
