Many thought the Egyptian ace brutally mocked the Red Devils in his post-match interview, forcing the Anfield ace to speak out on Twitter.

Manchester United suffered humiliation in yesterday's clash with Liverpool. England's two most successful clubs locked horns on Tuesday, and just as they did in their previous encounter, the Red Devils were thrashed once again by Klopp's rampant side.

A horrendous first-half display saw Rangnick's men go 2-0 down after only 22 minutes, with Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah scoring brilliant goals. The Egyptian superstar would go on to complete his brace in the second half while Sadio Mane also got on the scoresheet en route to a 4-0 victory.

This means that Manchester United have lost 9-0 on aggregate to Liverpool this season, having been thrashed 5-0 at home earlier in the campaign. As a result, fans of the struggling English giants were left livid and frustrated.

Shortly after the final whistle, Salah, who ended the game with two goals and an assist, appeared to add insult to injury by trolling the Red Devils. The former Roma ace was asked why Liverpool have dominated this rivalry this term, to which he responded:

"In midfield, they make our life easier.

"We have a clean sheet here and there. Once we get the first goal, we want the second and the third. It was a top performance by us and hopefully, we continue."

And just like that, Salah legitimized the biggest criticism of Manchester United this season: that they are so easy to play against. Or did he?

After his interview went viral, the Anfield sensation took to Twitter to clarify things, stating that he meant Liverpool's midfield and defense made life easier for him as an attacker, not Rangnick's men, adding that he would not disrespect his peers in such a manner.

Regardless, the criticism of the Red Devils still stands. On Tuesday, Liverpool cut through them like a knife through butter. It should be noted that Rangnick was without six senior first-team players, with Paul Pogba later picking up an injury himself to add to that list. The Manchester giants must bounce back, but their next two outings will also be difficult, as they face Arsenal and Chelsea next in the Premier League.
