The 40-year-old has struggled with injuries this season but doesn't appear to be hanging up his boots just yet.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic clearly isn't ready to retire just yet.

The 40-year-old has struggled with injuries this season, which have left him on the treatment table for quite a few spells so far for AC Milan.

Despite this, the Rossoneri are still on top of the table, and although they were dumped out of the Coppa Italia by cross-town rivals Inter yesterday, Stefano Pioli's men still do have a shot at winning what would be their first Scudetto since 2011.

Interestingly, Ibrahimovic was part of that squad, who were then under the tutelage of Massimiliano Allegri.

Zlatan's injuries have some buzzing as to whether the veteran forward will continue his playing career beyond the end of this term, but the Malmo-born attacker has now shut down any doubts in typically Zlatan fashion.

Here's how Zlatan has shut down retirement claims via his Twitter account:

Having made just 16 appearances so far, and with no contract extension on the table, it remains to be seen whether Milan will opt to offer him another short-term contract or he will try his luck elsewhere at the end of this season.
