Juventus still tracking Pogba

TRANSFER TALK: Juventus linked with move for former star after Man City rejection

May 9, 2022 By Michelle Bonsu
The Bianconeri haven't given up hope of signing their former star after he reportedly turned down a move to Manchester City.

Juventus apparently have been given a "major boost" in their quest to sign Paul Pogba after the French star rejected a move to Manchester City.

Since moving to Manchester United, the 2018 World Cup winner has struggled to reach the same kind of form that made him into a key part of Juventus's multi-trophy winning squad. However, the 29 year old is still a widely pursued target, with teams like PSG and Real Madrid also apparently keen on his services. As such, Juventus will be expected to face some stiff competition, especially from Los Blancos, who could potentially win an unprecedented 14th Champions League title should they beat Liverpool in the showpiece final later this month.

Given that the 29-year-old is set to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer this summer, this will certainly make for one of the more interesting transfer stories this summer. The Bianconeri are hoping that nostalgia will play a role in luring Pogba back to Turin, where he made nearly 180 appearances across all comps, scored 34 goals, and won eight different titles during four seasons with the Italian giants.

Will Pogba make a sensational return to Juventus, six years after he left in a then-world record transfer fee of approximately $110.6 million (€105 million/£89.3 million)?

We just may find out the answer sooner rather than later.
