Supporters of the Blues want the club to go all-out and secure the service of the Barcelona star to bolster their attacker.

Chelsea fans are calling for the signing of Barcelona star Memphis Depay with the exit of Timo Werner purportedly imminent. Reports from the UK claim that the German international is being scouted by both RB Leipzig and Juventus, and a move to the former has apparently gathered pace.

Werner joined Chelsea in 2020 from Leipzig for £45M but has struggled to impress since arriving at the club. Under Thomas Tuchel, the 26-year-old German international has fallen down the perking order and has been left frustrated by his lack of regular game time. Having managed only 23 goals in 89 appearances for the Blues, the striker is said to be keen on moving elsewhere in order to play frequently as he eyes a place in Germany's World Cup team this winter.

According to Sky in Germany, RB Leipzig have emerged as the front-runners in the race for Werner and are exploring all possibilities for their ex-star man to return to the Bundesliga. Talks have seemingly progressed at a faster pace in recent days, and an agreement could be reached soon. Ideally, the player is expected to join his former side on a season-long loan with the club having an obligation to buy him at the end of the season.

In the interim, a number of Chelsea fans on social media have issued a demand to the club's hierarchy as far as replacing Timo Werner is concerned. Some are particularly of the belief that Barcelona forward Memphis Depay should be recruited to fill the void that will be left by Timo Werner. Despite finishing last season as Barcelona's top goalscorer in all competitions, the 27-year-old Dutchman has been informed that the club intends to sell him in order to free its wage bill.

The former Manchester United winger has been linked with a return to Old Trafford but at the moment no concrete talks have began to hint at a potential arrival. Tottenham Hotspur are also reportedly monitoring the player's situation with Juve also in the loop.
