The Senegalese goalkeeper made a mess in possession to hand the hosts a massive advantage in Sunday afternoon's clash.

A horrible mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Édouard Mendy gifted an opener to Leeds United in Sunday afternoon's Premier League clash. The Peacocks took a two-goal leead into the break but were handed their first on a silver platter to which USMNT star Brendan Aaronson converted.

After a rather impressive start to the game by the hosts, it took them 33 minutes to send Elland Road into europhia in the unlikeliest fashion. Edouard Mendy, who had been decent up until that point, put his side on the back foot by after being put in an uncomfortable position. With the Chelsea midfielder struggling to handle the press of Leeds, Ruben Loftus-Cheek was forced to hit a 30-yard back pass to his goalkeeper.

The Senegalese shot-stopper was able to get the ball under control but failed in his attempt to dribble past Brendan Aaronson before clearing his lines. The 21-year-old American midfielder who has been impressive since his arrival this summer simply tapped the ball home to get his first Premier League goal.
