Although he refuses to talk about it, Dani Alves acknowledges that PSG would be a realistic alternative to Barcelona, should he ever decide to leave.

In recent days there have been talks about a possible move by Dani Alves to Paris Saint-Germain. Though in vague terms, the Brazilian did mention that he was aware of the rumors, yet refused to answer whether he will join or not. When asked about PSG’s interest, Barca’s right-back said:

PSG are a great team. I love defending great clubs. It has always been my dream. I want to play for clubs who can challenge me. I heard something about this possibility. If I don't stay at Barcelona, it's a realistic alternative for me.”

The Brazilian will alternate his spot with Roma's Maicon, though Scolari prefers the Barca player

The move would make sense for all the parties involved. On one side, Dani Alves has spent six years at the Camp Nou and, after a not-so-brilliant season and virtually having won everything with his club, it seems as if it is the right time to move. Additionally, Alves would be playing in an all Brazilian back four, which would ease his transition.

As to Barcelona, at age 31, this would be the last year where the Catalans would still make a substantial amount of money by selling the Brazilian. That money would then be reinvested in the quite expensive transfer-list that Luis Enrique has in mind.

On the other hand, the Parisians need a right-back. In fact, with Jallet under qualified for a team of the stature of PSG, and Gregory van der Wiel injured, a serious replacement is a must. Moreover, Alves knows former teammate, Zlatan Ibrahimovich, of whom he is also a good friend. With regards to his friend Zlatan, the Brazilian defender revealed:

“Ibrahimovic is a peculiar kind of guy, but I like to share things with him. We have a great relationship. I've invited him to come to the World Cup and enjoy the occasion. If he invited me for lunch, dinner or on a trip I would accept, but I've only invited him to the World Cup in Brazil.”

It appears that the potential move of Dani Alves to the Parc des Princes would represent, surprisingly, a win, win, win situation.
