The Reds are negotiating to sign 19-year-old prodigy, Divock Origi

In recent days, Liverpool developed a strong interest for the Belgian Divock Origi. The talented player, currently on Lille, is only 19 but evoked interest also from the Spurs.

The young Belgian scored today against Russia the only goal of the match, to secure his nation’s progression to the next stage of the World Cup. Last year, Origi scored 10 goals in 21 appearances for the U19 national team, which he joined at age 17.

Divock is the son of former professional player Mike Origi

Liverpool seems ahead of the London club, due to their willingness to let the player remain at Lille on loan for another season. However, the Reds may face some problems in the coming days.

In fact, after Suarez’s bite on Chiellini, FIFA may impose a global ban on the Uruguayan, preventing him from playing part of next season. This could cause Real Madrid’s interest in the forward to disappear, which will cause Rodgers’ team to be unable to conclude the Origi-deal.
