Brazil tear apart Iran’s defense to net three goals
Brazil looked at ease in the sweltering Abu Dhabi heat against Iran. The South Americans scored three superb goals and kept Iran on the defensive most of the match.

Iran started well but saw their 5th minute goal ruled off-side. Dani Alves struck for the Brazilians from a perfectly delivered free kick in the 13th minute. The Barcelona left back swerved the ball with his right foot around the wall from distance beyond the box.

AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato doubled the score with a strike in front of goal in the 68th minute. Pato is part of the new look Brazilian side being shaped by coach Mano Menezes, in a effort to regain the team’s former glory.

Nilmar tapped home Brazil’s third goal in the 93rd minute to close out the game. Iran wasted the few chances they had, and were outplayed by the visitor’s attacking prowess. Menezes has now won his third game, and his squad will be confident his leadership is working. Iran has lost their second game in a row and will need to assess their defensive tactics.
