Former Barcelona man David Villa was on target for New York City FC against Toronto FC in their second game of the new MLS season. The 34-year-old netted the first goal from the spot to give the hosts a 1-0 lead against Greg Vanny’s men. He then netted his second goal less than five minutes after scoring the first to give new coach Patrick Vieira more reason to smile.
David Villa has now become the first MLS player to score a brace this season.
