Philippe Coutinho is a wanted man especially now that the January transfer window is just a few weeks away. Several reports have linked the Brazilian sensation to a move to Spain to join La Liga giants Barcelona but it seems their bitter rivals Real Madrid are also keen on landing the signature of the on-demand star.

And now, according to reports from Brazil, Coutinho’s teammate Marcelo has been trying to lure the attacking midfielder to the Santiago Bernabeu lest he lands at the Nou Camp if he decides to leave Anfield in January to follow the footsteps of former Liverpool great Luis Suarez. According to popular Brazilian football Twitter account Selecao Brasileira, Coutinho recently turned down Marcelo’s suggestion that he should join Los Blancos. The 24-year-old has played a crucial role in Liverpool’s resurgence this season. Under Jurgen Klopp, the Kops are top of the league with Coutinho having already scored five goals and provided five assists in 11 appearances for the Merseyside outfit.
