Bellingham was called into action in the the 35th minutes after Sevilla had taken an early lead. Tanguy Nianzou - formerly of Bayern Munich - was the man to score on his return to Germany, connecting with Ivan Rakitic's in-swinger to put the visitors ahead in the 18th minute. Seven minutes later, Dortmund levelled the score through their midfield dynamo.

The England international began the move from a promising place and was able to unleash Donyell Malen on a a counter-attack down the left. The Dutchman closed in on Sevilla's penalty area and was able to square the ball into Jude Bellingham. The latter then sent the ball to the opposite flank for Thomas Meunier, before getting into the box and putting the Belgian's cross at the back of the net.
