Cristiano Ronaldo is set to miss his first domestic match for Los Blancos this season. The star winger has been ruled out of Wednesday’s Real Madrid vs Levante match in the Copa del Rey.
Reports indicate that Cristiano Ronaldo has contracted fever and thus needs time to recover. The player was involved in Real Madrid’s training session on Tuesday morning but he eventually had to be withdrawn after complaining of illness.

The club’s doctors have opted to have Cristiano Ronaldo staying away from his Real Madrid team mates so as to prevent the entire squad from suffering from the spreading of the disease. The exclusion of Ronaldo means that Jose Mourinho will have to deal without the play maker.

But the Portuguese coach should have other key players available for tomorrow’s Copa del Rey fixture against Levante.

Among the 20 men who completed Tuesday’s training session, three were from the academy: Juanfran, Pacheco and Morata. The trio may have the opportunity to play for Real Madrid on Wednesday night before the team goes on break for winter holidays.
