Atletico Madrid's UEFA Super Cup clash with Real Madrid took off at a blistering pace after Diego Costa gave the Rojiblancos the lead in the opening minute.
An overhead pass from Diego Godin from Atleti's defensive area found the 29-year-old forward who, firstly, controlled the ball with his head, expertly maneuvered his way past Sergio Ramos and blasted it past Keylor Navas from an incredibly tight angle.
What a start, what a goal!

Per the Super Cup's historical archives, no goal has ever been scored quicker than Costa's which took just 49 seconds to be produced. The former Chelsea man also, as a result, took his total goal tally against Real Madrid to three in 15 appearances.
His last strike against Los Blancos prior to the European cup clash came in his side's 1-0 win over their archrivals in La Liga back in September 2018, a game which saw Gareth Bale make his official debut following his record-transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
