A brace from Benzema rescued Los Blancos but it didn't spare their blushes from this embarrassing statistic.

On Saturday, Real Madrid welcome Eibar to Santiago Bernabeu with the aim of returning to winning ways. However, things did not start well for Los Blancos.

Zidane's men entered this weekend clash on the back of their midweek defeat to Valencia. The Spanish giant lost 2-1 that day and was thus eager to bounce back.

However, the home side found themselves trailing against Eibar after conceding in the first half. Cardona found the back of the net in the 39th minute to make it three straight games without a clean sheet for Los Merengues.

That goal also saw Ramos and Co. reach an unwanted feat. Real Madrid became the Spanish club to have conceded the most goals this season in all competitions thanks to that strike, the 62nd they have let in this season.

While this became a reality under Zizou's reign, only five of those goals were conceded since he made a hero's return to Santiago Bernabeu. Regardless, this is further proof that the team's defense is in need of a facelift.

Fortunately, Los Blancos turned things around in the second half. Two goals from Karim Benzema guided the Madrid giant to a 2-1 win to move within two points of Atletico who will be taking on Barcelona later on today.
