Apparently, the Brazilian ace wants to leave the Spanish club following the arrival of French left back Ferland Mendy.

Spanish newspaper Sport has dropped a bombshell on all of Real Madrid fans, as left back Marcelo has reportedly asked Real Madrid to pave the way for his exit.

The Brazilian footballer, who made headlines this week after being banned from driving in his home country, has urged the Spanish giants to let him join another team in the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to the report published on the Catalan newspaper, Marcelo was not eager to fight for a spot in the lineup against Ferland Mendy, which has prompted his transfer request.

The player was linked with a move to Juventus for the better part of the 2018-19 season, and it seems that the bianconeri's interest in his services has not diminished, as Juve is one of four teams interested in his signing, according to Sport.

Juventus and PSG are named as the most-likely destinations for the footballer, with AC Milan and Arsenal joining the race. The latter clubs seem to have no chance of landing his transfer, given that the rossoneri will not feature in any international competitions next year, and Arsenal's involvement in the UEFA Europa League does not seem appealing enough for such a player.

Marcelo saw his playing time go down under Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari last season. Nevertheless, Zidane's return and eventual decision to hand him a regular starting spot made some believe that he would stay for the remainder of his contract. With that in mind, Real Madrid execs decided to ship home grown left back Sergio Reguilón out on loan to Sevilla, which will create a problem for Zidane if Marcelo ends up leaving.

The Brazilian footballer is expected back in Madrid next week, but with this report flying in, we are honestly wondering if his return to the Spanish capital will last long.
