The Uruguayan striker is out of a contract next summer, with English clubs eyeing a deal for the 32-year-old striker.

Edinson Cavani's future seems further away from PSG with each passing day, despite rumors regarding the player's intention to live up to his contract with Les Parisiens until the end of the season.

The player scored his 198th goal with the team's jersey during the cup clash against Linas-Montlhery on Sunday, but after that game, Cavani's desire to stay in Paris was practically erased. According to a report by L'Equipe, the player's involvement in that game made him realize his role at the club under coach Thomas Tuchel, which may see him push for an exit as soon as possible.

The 32-year-old Uruguayan has been linked to a move to Atlético Madrid, but his huge wage demands and the fact that PSG wants a bit over $10M to transfer the player have brought the move to a stand-still point. Added to that, the French team's hierarchy believes that there are no strikers out there that could fill Cavani's void, even if it's as a substitute, which make them think twice about a deal.

L'Equipe's report underlines that Cavani has received a couple of offers from Manchester United and Chelsea, who would be interested in signing him before the start of the 2020-21 season. With his mind set on playing more minutes during the current season, it seems that watching him stay at Parc des Princes is a long-shot, but it will all come down to what Leonardo and Thomas Tuchel have to say about his future.

The South American striker has also been tempted by David Beckham's franchise in the MLS as their star signing, where he'd team up with Uruguayan boss Diego Alonso.
