November 3, 2021 will go down in history for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League, as the Spanish giants became the first side since the tournament's inception to score 1,000 goals in it.
Being the most winning side in the competition, it seemed proper to see Los Blancos reaching such a milestone. Nevertheless, the road to hit the 1,000-goal mark was not easy.
Karim Benzema, perhaps the most consistent player for Los Blancos in the past five years, had the honor of scoring the record-breaking goal. The player put to good use an assist by Vinicius, who made the most out of a howler by Shakhtar's goalkeeper Anatolii Trubin.
Have a look at Benzema's finish to give Los Blancos the lead (Image might be geo-restricted).

Even the official Twitter feed of the UEFA Champions League joined the "celebration" with a list of players who scored the even goals by Los Blancos.
