Liga MX Clausura and Premier League game broadcasts on TUDN USA and USA Network respectively secured podium spots when looking at the most-watched soccer games on American TV from Monday, Jan. 3, through Sunday, Jan. 9.

TUDN USA's broadcast of a Liga MX Clausura Matchday 1 one-all draw between Puebla and Club America was the most-watched soccer game of the week in the USA. An average of 350,000 viewers watched the clash.

The match saw Club America go ahead in the first minute of play via winger Salvador Reyes Chavez. However, America's other winger Roger Martinez was sent off in the first half after receiving a second yellow card. Puebla made the best of the situation and closed out the first half with a late goal from Maximiliano Araujo. America stopped the hosts from scoring in the second half, and each team walked away with a point.

USA Network's broadcast of a Premier League showdown between Manchester United and Wolverhampton on Monday, Jan. 3, was the second most-watched game of the week. Wolves defeated the Red Devils 1-0 thanks to a well-placed Joao Moutinho strike that beat United keeper David De Gea late in the game. As a result, Wolverhampton claimed their first win at Old Trafford since 1980. The broadcast received a 0.10 viewership rating for the 341,000 average viewers who watched the game.

TUDN's broadcast of Cruz Azul's 2-0 win over Club Tijuana on Saturday, Jan. 8, snatched the third place in last week's most-watched soccer games on U.S. TV podium. The broadcast attracted an average of 268,000 viewers and received a 0.11 viewership rating.
