About TV3+ HD
TV3+ HD is a Danish television channel owned and operated by the Modern Times Group. The channel was created after the merger of the channels ZTV and TV6, keeping the name TV6 from 1995 to April 29, 1996, when it was labeled as TV3+. Eventually, with the launch of HD television in the country, TV3+ would add HD to its name in February 2010.
Over the years, TV3+ HD has made a name for itself by trying to satisfy its target audience, which goes from young audiences to young adults. Most of the channel’s programming comes from the network’s different deals with American TV and movie studios, which have supplied some of the channel’s most watched shows in its history. American TV series, drama shows, sitcoms, documentaries, movies, have been the main focus of this channel over the years.
Speaking about sports, the channel has focused on airing American football, motorsports, and football. Regarding the latter, tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and the Danish Superliga have been aired on this network.
TV3+ HD broadcasts entirely in High Definition, although some of its shows may be “upscaled” to fit the High-Definition format.
