About V Sport Ultra HD

V Sport Ultra HD is a Swedish television channel owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. The channel was launched in 2020 to add depth to the network’s sports coverage. 

Over the years, V Sport Ultra HD has aired content for most of the disciplines the network has broadcasting rights to. Some of those disciplines have included football competitions, hockey, American football, basketball, golf, motorsports, and more. 

Since there are sports-specific channels in the V Sport network, V Sport Ultra has often been used as a mirror channel to some of those sister networks. Usually, the top sports event being aired on the network can be watched in Ultra HD format.

When it comes to football, V Sport Ultra HD has been involved in covering club competitions such as the Dutch Eredivisie, the French Ligue 1, the Danish First Division, the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, and the Australian A-League. Cup tournaments such as the English League Cup and the English FA Cup have also found screen time on this channel. Furthermore, tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League have also been covered on this network for many years.

V Sport Ultra HD was launched as an Ultra High-Definition feed. There are no downscaled versions of this channel, although some events may be available in a different format in some of V Sport Ultra HD’s sister networks.

	FIFA Women's World Cup (2023) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has acquired exclusive rights to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The Nordic multi-platform broadcaster will air every match on OTT streaming service Viaplay, while its free-to-air networks will telecast select games.
	UEFA Europa League (2021-2024) NENT Group has secured exclusive Europa League rights in Sweden, Norway and Finland in a three-year deal that will run from 2021 to 2024. All Europa League matches will be streamed live on Viaplay, with extensive studio programming. Games will be available on Viasat’s pay-television offerings across the region, whereas NENT Group’s Swedish, Danish and Norwegian linear TV channels will also broadcast select matches. 	UEFA Europa Conference League (2021-2024) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired exclusive UEFA Europa Conference League media rights from 2021 to 2024 in Sweden, Norway and Finland. The TV operator will show all the matches live on its large collection of television channels in the region, consisting of Viasat and many other linear TV networks. More details All Europa Conference League matches will be streamed on the pan-Nordic OTT service Viaplay in high definition. Local-language commentary will be available on every platform in all three countries, and extensive studio programming will be released to present fresh perspectives on televised games.
	England - Premier League (2022-2028)
	Germany - Bundesliga (2021-2025) NENT Group will continue to maintain their exclusive rights in Sweden through 2025 as a result of their four-year deal with Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. 	Germany - DFL-Supercup (2021-2029) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group’s OTT streaming service has acquired exclusive rights to the annual German Super Cup through 2029 following an extension on a prior four-year deal. The Super Cup will be live-streamed on Viaplay, NENT Group’s OTT service in high definition.
