About V Sport Premium

V Sport Premium is a Swedish television channel owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. The channel was launched on August 13, 2010 after Viasat signed an agreement to broadcast Premier League games in all Scandinavian countries. The channel started broadcasting content under the name Viasat Premier League, but that changed in 2020 when it was rebranded to V Sport Premium.

Over the years, V Sport Premium has been the main channel for the network when it comes to covering Premier League matches. Since its rebranding, the channel has also expanded its coverage to all football categories in England, including Women’s Football on its grid as well. Added to that, the channel has also aired Bundesliga matches, magazine shows, documentaries, and classic Premier League games.

V Sport Premium was launched as a High-Definition channel, giving it an edge over its competitors when it comes to broadcasting live games. A downscaled version of this channel might be available in some regions of the country where users do not have access to HD technology. Added to its availability in Sweden, the channel may also be found in some pay-tv carriers in Finland and Norway, although they may find them under a different name.
