Ligue 1 - Matchday 20 overview

The first half of the season has been quite a bit of a surprise for Ligue 1 fans. Reigning champs PSG, who easily cruised to the league title last term, have not had things easy this time around. In fact, the capital giants have already lost twice as many games (4) as they did of all last season (2). They currently find themselves in third spot, five points behind the league leaders.

And the league leaders? Not Marseille. Or Monaco. But, rather, Nice. Les Aiglons have truly been soaring so far this term. They've lost just one game, and as a result, sit two points clear of the chasing pack. However, Lucien Favre's men ended last year with a frustrating draw, and kicked off this one with a disappointing 2-1 loss in the Coupe de France earlier this week. Will that affect them ahead of their tie with Metz on Sunday?
